The efficiency of observing adjacent XMM pointings in single 2dF observations together with having observers present to optimise configurations and adapt to changing observing conditions was very helpful + a very resourceful support team at the AAT. IDs looked possible on quite a high fraction of sources in fields taken in good conditions - all very encouraging. Thanks to all those who provided input during the lengthy preparations, especially Simon!
